We arrived late in Nuku’alofa in Tonga and Götti (Aka Toni - me and my brother's Godfather) picked us up at the airport and brought us by Taxi to Little Swan in Nuku’alofa Harbor. We slept at 1am and had to wake up at 7am. We went shopping and site seeing. Then my father and brother and me were taught how to drive the dingy. I sped across the water and all of a sudden turned a full circle. Everyone was surprised and wet, so funny. On Sunday we visited the Tonga Church on Atata Island and the priest said a lot of faka.. words. The singing was beautiful, but very loud. On Monday we finally set sail for the Ha’apai group of Islands, my first real sailing day! Cyrus and I stood on the bowsprit enjoying the ups and downs. Like Bungee jumping. |
